Protect your pets in the heat
May 30th, 2010 by Peter
We’ve only just had a glimpse of it over last weekend but as summer starts please make sure you’re wary of how your pets are reacting.
You need to makes sure that they are kept cool by ensuring they have access to a shady area and also hydrated so make sure fresh water is on hand for them to help themselves as and when they need to.
Keep windows open in cars when you’re traveling if possible (but be careful of dogs hanging their heads out as this could damage theirs ears and eye) and most certainly DO NOT leave dogs unattended in a car on a hot and sunny day.
Be careful walking in the middle of the day as hot pavements can burn paws but this is rarely the case in th uK – but you just never know how hot this summer could end up being.
